Q : Share about a time when somebody surprised you with a gift?
Today we will look into a woman’s life that how she got a gift and what was her attitude.
Genesis 30:1-6
1 When Rachel saw that she was not bearing Jacob any children, she became jealous of her sister. So she said to Jacob, "Give me children, or I'll die!"
2 Jacob became angry with her and said, "Am I in the place of God, who has kept you from having children?"
3 Then she said, "Here is Bilhah, my maidservant. Sleep with her so that she can bear children for me and that through her I too can build a family."
4 So she gave him her servant Bilhah as a wife. Jacob slept with her,
5 and she became pregnant and bore him a son.
6 Then Rachel said, "God has vindicated me; he has listened to my plea and given me a son." Because of this she named him Dan.
Q: What was Rachel ‘s desire (to have a child)
Q: When you desire something and you do not get how do you feel? (Share about an incident when something you desired and you did not get it)?
Q: What did Rachel do when she did not bear child? (She was jealous and angry)?
Q: How did Jacob reacts towards Rachel? (Angry and upset)
There is a small point to learn here. If we pressurize others to achieve our desires they get hurt, it breaks relationship.
Genesis 30:22-24
22 Then God remembered Rachel; he listened to her and opened her womb.
23 She became pregnant and gave birth to a son and said, "God has taken away my disgrace."
24 She named him Joseph, and said, "May the LORD add to me another son."
Q: Did God forget Rachel? (No, God blessed her with a Baby)
Q: Was Rachel grateful to God? No, she asked for one more child
C: She became greedy and ungrateful
Q: How the world is greedy today? (People want money, position, name, no caring for relationship, fighting for
property)
Q: How does God feel, when we are greedy?
Q: Does God know our needs?
Q: How does God fulfill our needs? (Blessings)
Q Why sometimes He does not fulfill our needs? (He wants us to rely upon Him, to be patient, to obey Him, to trust Him)

Today you need to make time to learn about God and His ways and not just is busy in making money.
